Family in Watchung, NJ looking for full-time nanny to care for their 2-year-old child and become part of their family. Hours will expand in future, but current schedule is Monday from 7:30 am to 7:30pm, Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, Thursday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. As time moves on, Tuesday-Thursday hours will increase.
Ideal nanny:
Ideal nanny is loving and caring and can fulfill the dual role of educator and playmate. Personality and love are more important to parents than Nanny’s education. Education background a plus but not required, as long as Nanny is education-minded. Ideal nanny is engaging and makes learning fun. They are creative, fun, and willing to do age-appropriate science experiments, art projects, imaginative play, etc. They will encourage learning and seek new educational opportunities for Child to explore topics like the solar system, alphabet, numbers, volcanos, and bugs. Ideal caregiver is fun, upbeat, patient, caring, and creative. Must be a non-smoker and live a Covid-safe lifestyle. Must be pet-friendly.
Duties include:
Child sleeps/naps for long stretches of time each day, during which time Nanny will help with preparing snacks/meals for Child, doing the family’s laundry, keeping kitchen and Child’s areas clean and organized, doing beds, vacuuming, washing dishes, and when time permits, occasional mopping and dusting.
About the child:
This is a loving, hilarious, sensitive, intelligent, and creative 2-year-old boy. He enjoys make believe, running, playing, watching cars outside, going on walks, and reading books. He especially loves learning about the Solar System, bugs, the alphabet, and numbers.
Covid Note/About the Family:
Parents are creative, fun, on the quiet side, respectful, and loving. Parents are VERY Covid safe. They require honesty and transparency about Nanny’s activities outside of the home and will provide the same. They are and will continue to live in a “quarantine state”. They do not socialize or see family in person, go to grocery store, or dine out. To avoid negating these efforts, same is expected of whoever enters their home. They expect full disclosure when these efforts can't be met.
