  • Some agencies will charge extra fees for drug testing and motor vehicle screening…but we don’t.

  • There are nanny agencies that charge you for interviewing potential nannies...we don’t.

  • Many agencies do not offer trial runs…but we do.

  •  There are nanny agencies that limit the number of candidates you are allowed to interview before they charge you with another fee or end your search?…Not us.

  • Many agencies do not ensure the nanny is legally eligible to work in the USA…but we do.

  • There are a few nanny agencies that don’t allow you to select and/or interview the nanny candidate(s) for your home, but we do!  It should ultimately be your choice, not ours!

  • There are agencies that expect you to select a nanny from a booklet or a database of candidates with little to no guidance… NOT US. We meet all of our candidates in person (or via Zoom during the pandemic) and use our wisdom and insight to narrow the candidate pool for you, based on who we believe will be the best fit for your home. We take pride in knowing both our nannies and our families.

  • Our agency only moves forward with candidates who are permanent residents or US citizens… that’s true!

  • We do not move forward with candidates with student visas or working visas, because it may interfere with the longevity of the placement…that’s true!

  • While many have a one-year replacement guarantee, not all do…but we do.

  • There are agencies that limit the amount of time they will work with you and/or the number of candidates they are willing to present to you, even if you have not yet secured a nanny…we work with you until the end.

  • Not all nanny agencies in New Jersey fingerprint potential nannies, since it is not a state requirement?…but we do.

  • Once your nanny is placed, we offer free revisions to your family contract for three years or up to five revisions...that’s right!

  • Who offers the continued support of your Family Placement Coordinator even after you have found your nanny? We do.

  • There is only one known agency in New Jersey that offers a two-nanny replacement guarantee within the first year, for full-time live-out or live-in placements…that’s The Nanny Smith!
