Family in Ridgewood is looking for a full-time, temporary nanny to start in April (flexible for right fit). Schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. End date in July or potentially September (once children get off school’s waitlist, nanny will have 3 to 4 weeks of notice).
Ideal nanny:
Ideal nanny is loving, fun, patient, kind, and reliable. They are able to create a bond with children by being fun and able to gain their respect by enforcing boundaries. Ideal nanny is energetic and willing to plan activities to keep children active and engaged. Nanny must be Covid-19 careful.
Nanny duties include:
Responsibilities would include caring for children, making snacks and lunch for them, planning activities, diapering (2 yr. old), and cleaning up after children during the day. Preferred but not required is doing family’s laundry.
About the children:
They are best friends! They get along all the time and are very loving. The 4-year-old likes art, dance, yoga, and other sports. She is loving, sensitive, energetic, active, and spirited. The 2-year-old is loving, active, happy, attached, and funny. He likes music, soccer, playing catch, and playing outside.
About the home:
The parents are caring and professional. Both work full time from home. They encourage the children to make good choices and teach them ways to process their emotions. They use age-appropriate rewards and consequences to promote positive behaviors. Parents will be fully vaccinated by mid-April. They practice social distancing and are very Covid-conscious.
