Typical schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm but may change slightly. Looking for someone to make a minimum commitment of one year (preferably more).
Ideal nanny:
Ideal nanny is patient, caring, reliable, flexible, engaging, and able to teach young children and use an iPad/laptop for class work. Nanny must have a vehicle. Looking for a nanny who wants to build a connection with the children and who can fulfill the dual role of educator and playmate when needed. Ideal nanny will provide supplemental support for 1st grader’s schooling and teach 4-year-old. Nanny will help facilitate any extracurricular activities that are possible with COVID-19 restrictions. Looking for someone who is engaging...someone who knows how to make learning fun is a huge plus!
Duties include:
Picking up/dropping off at school across the street. Basic tidying up after children. Preparing snacks and meals for children. Preparing meals for entire family would be a plus but is not required.
About the children:
The oldest child is six years old and will be in school half day and then home for virtual learning the other half. She loves art, science, and swimming. Other interests are soccer, science projects, LEGOs, and arts and crafts. She is sensitive, caring, intelligent, shy, and curious. The younger child is 4 years old and is loving, easygoing, considerate, silly, and intelligent. She enjoys swimming and exploring the world around her.
About the family:
Mom is caring, energetic, organized, and proactive. Dad is a laid-back, loving father who sometimes feels unimaginative, but together they are awesome parents! The girls generally get along well. When discipline is needed, the parents try to offer choices and limit yelling. They avoid time out unless absolutely necessary. The home has two cats (no pet care required but must be pet friendly).
Benefits:
Full-time salaried position. Nanny will also be paid for overtime, vacation days, sick days, time off, and holidays. Family will reimburse for any on-the-job car expenses.
