Family in Tenafly is looking for a full-time, live-out nanny for their children, ages 2 and 5. Typical schedule for Nanny is Monday to Friday from 6:45 am to 6:00 pm.
Duties include:
Preparing for meals for children, dressing and bathing kids, doing children’s laundry, vacuuming, and basic tidying up after children. Looking after dog when parents are not home, possible occasional grocery shopping. Driving children to school, playdates, park, and activities using Family’s vehicle. Playing with the girls, practicing basic math and early reading, and doing arts and crafts. Huge plus if Nanny is able and willing to cook for the whole family a couple of times a week.
Ideal Nanny:
Ideal nanny is an experienced and safe driver. They are able to help with early reading, math, and potty training and are comfortable with dogs (family has small, hypoallergenic Havanese). They are a non-smoker who is willing to be regularly tested for COVID. Looking for someone who is nurturing, energetic, and creative - willing to sit on the floor and build, play pretend, or kick a soccer ball outside. Ideal nanny is able to facilitate important growth milestones, such as teaching little one to potty train and assisting older child with early math and reading skills.
About the Children:
The oldest (5 years old) is curious, sweet, attention-seeking, and creative. She loves reading stories, doing arts and crafts, and playing pretend. The youngest (2 years old) is curious, funny, adventurous, independent, and loving. She loves stories, unicorns, doll houses, and puppies.
About the Parents:
Both parents are thoughtful, intentional, caring, loving, and focused. Mother works from home and dad is a doctor (he gets tested regularly for COVID-19). Together they are a great balance and love to work in partnership with their nanny. Parents insist on good manners, provide frequent praise for good behavior, and offer clear guidance when behavior is not appropriate. Physical discipline is not allowed, and shouting should only be reserved for rare, serious situations.
Benefits:
Salary of $900+ / week plus overtime, 2 weeks of paid vacation, paid sick days, paid time off, and paid holidays are included. Family vehicle will be provided.
