A family in Ridgewood is seeking a full-time, live-out supportive nanny/mother’s helper/team player for their two children, ages 22 months and newborn. Their newborn child is expected in March 2024. The typical schedule would be Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. No pet care is required. Willingness to stay with the family at their vacation home during the summer months would be a plus (not required).
Ideal nanny:
This family is looking for someone to be a support for the Mom during the day. Nanny should be comfortable working directly with Mom while she spends one-on-one time with the children. The ideal nanny for this home is loving, bubbly, nurturing, empathetic, and present with the children. They should have a can-do attitude and be willing to step in and support the home as needed. Putting away cell phones and being attentive to the children is extremely important.
Duties include:
Focusing on one child at a time and prioritizing the child over other tasks. Creating fun and engaging activities for the children Supporting Mom throughout the day. Preparing snacks and assisting Mom with meal prep. Doing laundry for the children. Tidying the nursery. Light tidying, including vacuuming. Shopping for groceries.
About the children:
This 1-year-old child is energetic, collaborative, communicative, and playful. She loves to play outdoors, play hide and seek, and do arts and crafts. She has been raised to express her needs and agency, and she likes to help adults with all tasks.
The family is expecting a second child in March.
