A family in Short Hills is looking for a part-time, live-out nanny for their 6-year-old girl. The typical schedule would be Saturday from 12 pm to 10 pm and Sunday from 12 pm to 5 pm. Care would occasionally be needed on Friday evenings. Availability for date nights during the weekday is a plus, but not required. Occasional overnight and travel care is required.
Duties include:
Cooking for the family. Basic tidying up after the child. Some household errands. Minimal pet care.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this family is kind and keeps open communication with the parents. The nanny should follow instructions and check in with the parents. College education is preferred, but not required. Nanny must be willing to travel with the family and provide overnight care when the parents are out of town.
About the family:
This 6-year-old is smart, engaging, funny, kind, and helpful. She likes art, music, and PE, but math can be challenging. After school, she goes to piano and hip hop classes. She also goes to softball and Sunday school during the weekends. She loves to play outside and run on the track.
These parents are respectful, reasonable, and busy. They don’t have to discipline much because their daughter is easygoing.
