Family in Weehawken is looking for a wonderful full-time nanny for their 4 month old newborn. Typical schedule will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 p.m. A bonus would be one short Saturday shift (from 10 a.m to 3 p.m.) and one Saturday evening shift per month, as well as willingness to travel to Mendham, NJ when children are staying with grandmother.
Duties include:
Caring for the infant. Basic meal prep and warming up pre-cooked food. Filling bottles with breast milk for the baby as needed. Doing laundry for the child and tidying up after him. Vacuuming and cleaning up after the child’s meals. A plus is washing parts of the breast pump or placing it in the dishwasher. Caring for the family’s two-year-old boy when school is out or finished for the day. No pet care is required.

The ideal nanny for this home is someone who takes initiative and has a can-do attitude. They are energetic, warm, loving, and professional. Looking for someone neat, with good personal hygiene, who will be part of the family and is interested in a long-term relationship. The caregiver must be respectful and comfortable with parents, as well as willing to accept feedback from the parents. Open communication with the parents is very important.
About the children:
This four-month-old is sweet, smiley, and easygoing. He is interactive and loves people.
This 2-year-old is energetic, playful, talkative, and inquisitive. He loves animals, singing the ABCs and Old McDonald, running around outside, and collecting pine cones. He is in daycare full time.
About the parents:
These parents are busy professionals who work from home. They value respect and understanding while they are working. They would appreciate it if their nanny could limit their potential COVID exposure, as well as limiting phone use when the children are awake.
Benefits:
Salary plus paid vacation days off, paid holidays off, paid sick days off, and paid personal days off. Higher pay in the event that care is for both children. Parents will pay extra per hour ($30 an hour for weekend shifts and weekdays when both children are home).
