Family in Short Hills is seeking a part-time nanny/mother’s helper for their 2 well-behaved daughters, ages 5 and 8 years old. Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Duties include:
Driving the children each day to camp and after-camp activities (gymnastics, swimming, etc.). Other tasks will change day to day depending on the needs of the family and could include engaging with the girls, organizing the playroom, preparing dinner for the children (and parents, if willing), doing the children’s laundry, doing local errands like shopping for groceries, and tidying up after the girls.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal caregiver for this family is kind, fun, trustworthy, and very organized. She must be able to swim. A plus, but not required, is willingness to provide occasional date night / weekend care and cooking for the whole family.
About the children:
This 8-year-old is creative, empathetic, kind, curious, and timid. Her favorite subject in school is writing, and her most challenging subject is reading comprehension. She enjoys music and art and participates in gymnastics, swimming, and tennis after school.
This 5-year-old is caring, curious, studious, mature, and a rule follower! Her favorite school subject is math, and she is most challenged by reading. Her afterschool activities include gymnastics, swimming, and ballet. These sisters get along most of the time.
About the parents:
Down to earth and lovely people. They have not needed to do much disciplining, as the girls are well-behaved. The parents are kind, empathic, creative and caring.
