Family in Montclair is looking for a nanny for their three children, 1-year-old and 7-year-old twins. The typical schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:30 am until 6:00 pm.
Duties:
Nanny’s main focus will be the 1-year-old as the twins are in school or camp all day. Light housekeeping includes tidying up after the children, tidying up the kitchen and dishes, vacuuming, and doing the kids’ laundry. There will be some meal prep for the children. Other duties include driving the baby to occasional activities, encouraging the twins to clean up their toys, and supervising homework. Occasionally stopping by the grocery store would be nice but is not necessary.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this family is dependable, mature, responsible, and organized. They have strong caregiving experience and love children. Looking for a self-starter and team player who is willing to jump in and help when needed.
About the children:
The twins are 7 years old, self-sufficient, and in school full time. Twin #1 is quirky and intense in a lovely way! He likes sports and mathematics. After school, he participates in hockey, baseball, and piano. Twin #2 is sweet, chatty, happy, nurturing, and artistic. In fact, art is her favorite thing. She plays soccer and does art class after school.
The baby of the family is an extremely happy, active child. Her favorite things are Music Together, the Little Gym, and Mom! The children get along very well, all the time.
About the parents:
These parents are involved, loving parents who both work full time. Mom is direct, flexible, commutative, and busy. She loves to have fun with the kid but is also a serious parent. Dad is nice, creative, playful with the kids, busy, and organized. The discipline structure in the home involves talking with the kids and occasionally removing privileges and using timeouts. The family is excited to welcome a new nanny into their home!
