A family in Madison is looking for a full-time live-out or live-in nanny. Care would be for their newborn baby (born in October) and for their 3-year-old (who is in daycare from 8:30 am to 3 pm). The typical schedule would be Monday to Friday from 7 am to 6 pm. (Nanny will have a 1 hour paid break typically from 12 pm to 1 pm.)
Duties include:
Creating fun and educational activities for the children. Reading books, doing arts and crafts, and outdoor activities. Bottle feeding and bathing the infant. Assisting the toddler in getting ready for school. Preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the children. Doing laundry for the family. Loading and unloading the dishwasher. Vacuuming and basic tidying up after the children.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this home is active and engaged with the children. This nanny must be easygoing, flexible, and able to work with the parents (including following their style of modern parenting without judgment). They must be COVID vaccinated with 3+ years of infant care experience. Experience with kid(s) with allergies is preferred.
About the family:
This 3-year-old is curious, strong-willed, and a great communicator. She loves being outdoors, reading, and doing crafts and puzzles. She is in school from 8:30 am to 3 pm. This 1-month-old is a good eater and sleeper.
Mom is tidy, organized, easygoing, and a planner. Dad is a playful big-picture guy. Both parents believe in positive reinforcement and have an attachment parenting style.
