Family in Mountain Lakes is seeking a nanny for their newborn beginning in January of 2023. Typical hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. Family has a toddler as well who is preschool, but care will be for the newborn.
Duties include:
Driving to and from the family’s home, but no driving on the job. Preparing/feeding bottles during the baby’s first year. Possibly helping to prepare solid foods in the future. Doing the baby’s laundry, cleaning his bottles, and tidying up after him. Very rarely, watching the family’s preschooler when her school is closed.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this family is nurturing, loving, reliable, and self-sufficient. They have experience caring for a newborn and will stimulate the baby during his wake time with walks around the neighborhood and interactions with other nannies and children. Looking for a caregiver who will follow our instructions. Nanny must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, willing to test at home, transparent about any symptoms, and not wear a mask with the baby. Montessori training and college degree preferred, but not required.
About the children:
This newborn is due at the end of August, 2022. He has a big sister who is three years old and who will not be requiring care. She can be shy and sensitive but warms up after a little while.
About the parents:
Both parents work full time, presently from home. They are very organized and like schedules and an orderly home. They share parenting duties equally. They set rules and expectations but do not punish or shame. They try very hard not to raise their voices. Parents are fully vaccinated for Covid-19. The family has one dog, but no pet care is required.
