Family in Belmar, New Jersey is seeking a flexible, full-time nanny or manny to care for their 2 daughters, ages 4 and 5. The family is offering full medical and dental benefits. Typical schedule in summer is Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Typical fall schedule when children are in school is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 9:00 am and again from 2:00 pm until 6:30 pm; however, Nanny’s pay will not decrease in the fall, and any additional hours will be paid hours.
Duties include:
Preparing basic lunches and dinners for the children. Doing the family’s laundry. Vacuuming. Tidying up after the children. Doing occasional errands such as grocery shopping and dry cleaning runs. Flexible driving requirements. Pet care for two dogs is included.
Ideal nanny:
Ideal nanny for this family is loving and caring with a good sense of humor. They can be firm when necessary but will recognize when the situation calls for love and understanding. Looking for someone who is very active and will take kids to the park, go on bike rides, etc. Someone who maintains a routine and helps keep a calm atmosphere. Ideal nanny will be able to help the older child with homework. Ability to adapt to parents’ schedules is important, but Nanny’s pay/number of hours will remain consistent.
About the child(ren):
This 5-year-old is loving, caring, silly, stubborn, and bright-eyed. She loves being active and doing anything artistic. Her math skills are strong but she’s having a harder time with reading. Her afterschool activities are dance, gymnastics, music, seasonal sports, and swimming. She likes princesses and superheroes. She is thoughtful, social, and very funny.
This 4-year-old is bright, goofy, strong-willed, cuddly, and super curious. She seems to love all subjects so far. Her afterschool activities are gymnastics, dance, and music. She adores her dolls and stuffed animals and likes to create “scenes” with them. The girls get along most of the time.
About the parents:
These parents are loving, good-natured, active, ambitious, and easygoing. Both are vaccinated for Covid-19. They are open to taking precautions to make the caregiver feel safe but prefer the kids to not wear masks. Parents try to keep a routine and are firm but loving in terms of discipline. They discourage girls from talking back and whining and will calmly correct them for this. Any intentional physical aggression results in time out. Both children respond well to loving positive reinforcement.
