Family in West Orange is looking for a caregiver for their sweet 2-year-old twin boys. Start date is flexible based on the right fit. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday. See times below:
Tuesday: 9:30 am - 6:00 pm
Wednesday: 10:30 am - 6:00 pm
Thursday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Friday: 10:30 am - 5:30 pm
Duties include:
Basic cooking for the twins and basic tidying up after them. Keeping their day moving by engaging and stimulating them, and, most importantly, keeping them safe and well cared for. Picking children up from preschool on occasion. No errands or pet care required.

This family’s ideal nanny loves what they do and is caring and nurturing. They are creative, energetic, and able to keep the day moving smoothly. They are respectful and observant of the children and will engage them based on their interests. Looking for someone who will work as a team with parents and hold firm the boundaries that have been created. Must be vaccinated and boosted for Covid-19 and take precautions, as the children are unvaccinated.
About the children:
Twin #1 is sweet, bright, focused, independent, and stubborn. He enjoys books, pretend play, hide and seek, peek-a-boo, making forts, and being chased around. He has a bit of a mischievous streak and also a very sweet demeanor!
Twin #2 is sweet, bright, funny, determined, and very aware (of himself and others). He is just starting to put phrases together. His interests are similar to his brother’s, but he is a bit shyer with new people. Once he warms up, he's very affectionate. The twins get along most of the time. Both boys will be starting preschool in June.
About the parents:
These parents are generally laid back and wish to provide a warm, friendly environment so the nanny will feel at home. They set firm boundaries for the children and use calm explanations (instead of time-outs) when one is crossed. They believe it is the caregiver’s job to remain calm and tolerant of a child’s “big emotions” and to help the child regulate their emotional state until they are old enough to do it alone. Both parents are fully vaccinated and boosted for Covid-19. They are Covid-conscious and wear masks in public.
