Position:  Full-time, short-term, live-in or live-out

Location: Mountain Lakes, NJ

Ages: 2 years old and 5 months old

Duration: ASAP until April 2023

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm

Live-in Compensation:  $1,000+ per week 

Live-out Compensation:  $1,200+ per week

More details:

Family in Mountain Lakes is seeking a live-in or live-out nanny to care for their 5-month-old infant and occasionally for their 2-year-old who attends daycare full time.  Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm.

Duties include:

Caring primarily for the infant. Bottle feeding him. Cooking simple meals and snacks for the children only. Doing the family’s laundry and tidying up after the children. Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen neat. Heavier cleaning, like vacuuming and cleaning bathrooms, is negotiable. 

Ideal nanny:

The ideal nanny for this family is nurturing, affectionate, helpful, and responsible. They are engaging, interactive, and enjoy teaching little ones. Nanny must be willing to travel with the family and be vaccinated for Covid-19. Flu vaccine and experience with early childhood education/development preferred but not required. 

About the children:

This 2-year-old is sweet, funny, and cheeky. She is in full-time daycare from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm. After school, she enjoys going for stroller rides and playing with her toys. She loves animals and is a fussy eater. This 5-month-old baby boy is happy, easygoing, and always smiling. These days, he is practicing “tummy time”. The children get along all the time.

About the parents:

This mother is caring, fair, busy, and helpful.  Dad is caring, responsible, involved, and friendly but can be a bit shy and reserved. They strive to explain all boundaries to the children and to be consistent with consequences. They try to avoid screen time.
