Family in Scotch Plains is seeking a nanny for their two children who are almost 2 years old and 5 month olds. Typical schedule for Nanny is Monday-Friday from 9/10am - 3/4pm, with some flexibility on times.
Duties include:
Balancing care for both Baby and Toddler, including feeding them meals/snacks, putting them down for naps, playing indoors/outdoors with them, and basic tidying up after them while they nap. No significant cleaning or housekeeping required.
Ideal nanny:
Parents are looking for someone who is energetic and willing to actively play with both kids.
Must be Covid-19 vaccinated as well as Covid-conscious and transparent about safety precautions being taken. Ideal caregiver is sweet and kind to kids, funny, fun-loving, and
bright.
About the children:
This 1.5 year old is agile, independent, active, and incredibly sweet. He has a minor speech delay and is receiving in-home speech therapy twice a week (a parent will always be present for sessions). He loves to swim and play outdoors. He also loves cars and will sit in the window and watch cars and trucks drive by for extended periods of time. The happiest, sleepiest baby ever is 5 months old. She is strong and loud like her brother but very easygoing. She's content to hang out on her playmat all day and loves listening to people talk.
About the parents:
Mom is easygoing and silly with the kids but appreciates structure. Dad is a present and hands-on father , funny, and organized. The family has one dog ( a small 17-lb dachshund mix). Both parents are Covid-19 vaccinated. Discipline structure in the home for Toddler includes using respectful parenting strategies (ex: Big Little Feelings, Dr. Becky, etc.).
