Madison, NJ family is looking for a nanny or manny to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm in their Madison home and their beach home in Cape May, NJ. Start time is flexible. Possible mid-day break included. Position can be live-in or live-out. Duration of summer placement based on candidate, ideally from July 15th to August 27th, but coverage from August 1st to August 13th is required. Family will be in Cape May from July 19th to August 13th and in Madison for the last two weeks of August.
Duties include:
Taking care of two children during the day, engaging them in playtime, reading, drawing, etc. Caregiver must be comfortable taking kids to the beach and into the water (only up to their knees). Minimal meal prep is snacks and ideally lunch for kids. Wonderful bonus, but not required, is cooking for the family. Children’s laundry and basic tidying up after children included.
Ideal caregiver:
Ideal nanny or manny is reliable and able to stick to a plan. They ensure the safety of the kids at all times. They are caring and make the kids feel loved. Preschool experience / degree a plus but not required. Parents are vaccinated and prefer Caregiver to be fully vaccinated as well.
About the family:
This three-year-old loves being active, climbing, running around, exploring nature, and going to the beach! She loves going to daycare and being with her friends. She currently prefers being referred to as a boy. She is active, curious, caring, independent, and loves/needs routines. Younger child is 1.5 years old. He is curious, loving, self-sufficient, and adores his sister.
The children usually get along. They are given broad freedom, but with strict boundaries. For example, they can choose what to play with, but if they want to draw with markers, it has to be at the drawing table. Children could use more guidance with following standard table manners. Parents are vaccinated and would like Nanny to be as well.
Benefits:
Salary plus overtime pay. Plus weekends off and limited paid days off. Meals included while working. If live-in, caregiver will have separate bedroom and free access to food at all times.
