Family in Short Hills is looking for a full-time nanny for their 6-year-old and 1-year-old children. Hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 7/7:30 pm. Some flexibility is appreciated.
Duties include:
Driving children. Engaging them while creating a passion for learning. Working as a team with parents to meet any needs that may arise for the children. Running occasional errands such as picking things up for Child's school events, etc. Tidying up after the children, putting away dishes/bottles, and preparing meals for family (recipes available). Not requiring a chef, but someone who can make a well-balanced meal and baby’s food is ideal. Groceries are delivered to home; Nanny should assist with unpacking.
Caregiver must:
Caregiver must have their own vehicle. They should have a very attentive, patient, and engaging personality. The ability to maintain discipline while keeping a balanced, positive environment is a must. Looking for someone who likes to do arts and crafts and other projects. Ideal candidate has a background in either education or social work and / or has a genuine passion for childcare. Caregiver must be able to maintain a safe environment that also allows children to grow and explore. Must be able to juggle/handle both children at the same time.
About the children:
The one-year-old girl is adorable! Older child may initially have a “barrier” that will disappear with familiarity. He is caring, smart, clever, mischievous, and extremely curious about everything the world has to offer. He enjoys Transformers, building tracks, reading books about sharks, building with Legos, and helping in the kitchen. He loves being responsible for things like a “big kid”. He is currently in school (hybrid).
