Family in Short Hills is looking for a full-time nanny for their children, 4 and 5 years old, beginning mid-August. The typical schedule for Nanny during the school week is 1:00 - 7:00 pm. During school vacations and summer, hours will be 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. Family is open to providing more hours for the right fit but prefer the schedule above.
Ideal nanny:
Ideal nanny is very experienced and reliable. They are gentle and kind to the children and can help with basic homework. Korean speaker would be a big plus but not required.
Duties include:
All duties are children-centered. During the school year, both kids will be in school until 2:30 pm. Nanny may do additional duties during that time, including but not limited to doing children’s laundry, vacuuming, basic tidying up after children, and prepping dinner and snacks. Once children are home, helping with homework if they have any.
About the children:
The 5-year-old, is calm, detail-oriented, independent, friendly, and loves learning. She likes math and art and enjoys playing outside. The 4-year-old, is sweet, outgoing, interested in other people, creative, and funny. She loves drawing and playing with dolls.
About the home:
Both parents are working professionals and both are vaccinated. There are no pets in the home. The children get along well. The discipline structure in the home involves setting limits and explaining consequences. Parents rarely have to raise their voices or put kids in time out.
