Family in West Orange is looking for a nanny for their awesome, well-mannered 12-year-old daughter. The position would require Nanny to be on-call Monday through Friday in case of emergencies and to manage the rest of the household. There are two options for the childcare schedule: Monday through Friday from 3:00-7:30 pm, or one which includes the morning hours from 7:00-8:10 am.
Duties include:
Providing transportation to and from school and activities. Preparing breakfast for Child and light dinner for Family. Doing Family’s laundry. Managing / shopping for groceries at store or online. Running occasional errands. Tidying up the kitchen area after cooking.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal caregiver for this family is flexible and can adapt to Family’s dynamic lifestyle. Looking for someone who is wise, humble and service oriented, warm, responsible, and bubbly. They can think quickly on their feet and are proactive and independent. Ideal nanny is patient and knowledgeable of the pre-teen stage of development. They are available for occasional weekend hours. Spanish- speaking nanny preferred. Ideally looking for a long-term caregiver.
About the child:
This pre-teen is shy, funny, creative, thoughtful, and a good listener. She is an easygoing and polite teenager. She is pretty independent and is proactive about doing homework and household chores. She enjoys mountain biking with the family and takes a Coding class on the weekends. She sees a Math tutor twice a week and a Speech therapist once a week.
About the family:
Mom is outgoing, warm, and caring. Dad is somewhat introverted, serious, fair, and thorough. They complement each other's personalities. Daughter is given chores to build responsibility and character. Entire family is vaccinated.
