Family in Jersey City is looking for a full-time, live-out nanny for their 16-month-old and 4-year-old children. Nanny needs to be available Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, but a typical week will range from 40-60 hours. At least one week per month, hours will be from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. Nanny will be given guaranteed pay/salary plus overtime.
Duties include:
… basic meal prep for the children, tidying up after the children, bathing them, and doing their laundry. Son will occasionally need to be walked home from local school.
Ideal nanny:
Ideal nanny is caring and trustworthy with a lot of love to give to the children. She can be trusted to engage the children (screen time is avoided) and is very safety-conscious. She is able to give attention to toddler and preschooler at the same time. Nanny must be COVID-19-vaccinated. Ideal nanny can accommodate flexible hours.
About the children:
This 16-month-old is cheerful and happy and naps once a day. She currently has some separation anxiety. This four-year-old loves music. He is funny, bright, musical, caring, and sensitive. He loves to ride his scooter and balance bike and play soccer. He also enjoys playing with his magnet tiles, doing puzzles, and reading. He loves interacting with his sister but needs reminders to be gentle with her and can become jealous.
About the home:
This is a Kosher household with a mostly fish and vegetarian diet. Parents are fairly laid back. They love music and reading to their children. They are both busy physicians who have been vaccinated for COVID-19. Discipline structure includes speaking gently to the children when they have done something wrong, sometimes after some quiet time to calm down. Children are encouraged to pick up their toys after playing with them.
