Details:
Weekend Nanny needed for a Short Hills family with three children, ages 4 years old, 2 years old, and 1 year old. Position will start as soon as possible. Typical schedule is Every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00/9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Salaried position, depending experience plus other benefits.
Duties:
Primary responsibility is caring for one or two of the children at a time. Duties include: doing children’s laundry and tidying up after children. If Nanny wants overtime or additional duties, both are optional.
About the home:
The parents are warm, kind, friendly, family-oriented, and down-to-earth. Parents are supportive of Nanny’s decisions; they believe in teamwork and a united front. They are very considerate of Nanny’s time and experience and place a high value on mutual respect. They believe they have good kids and want Nanny to continue teaching moral values in the home; the last thing they want is for their kids to become “brats”. No means no.
Ideal Nanny:
Ideal nanny has a warm, positive, and kind presence but also knows how to maintain order in appropriate ways. She is hard-working, assertive, proactive, and takes initiative when something needs to be done. She also can sense when it's family time.
About the children...
The oldest enjoys playing instruments (guitar and piano), dancing, building with magnet tiles/Legos, and playing various sports. He is happy, silly, rambunctious, compassionate, and affectionate. The 2-year-old is joyful, kind, silly, affectionate, charming, and obedient. These older two will be going to school in the fall (provided it is safe). The baby is a pretty easy baby at this point, and the children get along well.
