Family in Chatham is looking for a weekend nanny to begin as soon as possible for their three children. Schedule would be on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:00/7:00 pm, possibly later for date nights.
Duties include:
Occasional minor cooking for children, possible grocery shopping (as needed under safe conditions), and basic tidying up after children.
Ideal Nanny:
Family will provide vehicle for any pickups or drop offs. Nanny must have a license. Looking for a team player who will engage child(ren) while parents homeschool the other(s). Ideal nanny is an independent self starter who is comfortable creating and scheduling daytime play activities for the children. She is punctual, flexible, and patient and has a genuine and empathic demeanor. Ideal nanny is willing to travel with family after COVID has passed, but this is not a requirement.
About the Children:
The oldest is 6 years old and is intelligent, independent, extroverted, warm, and a leader. He loves anything physical or active such as going to the park and playing outdoor sports. He also enjoys board games, reading, watching movies, and creative activities like painting, building, and coloring.
The 3-year-old is friendly, loving, patient, curious, and affectionate. This child enjoys reading books, playing outdoors, and creative activities such as coloring and painting. Baby is expected to arrive mid-March.
About the home:
Mother is pregnant with her third child (due in March). The family dog is currently living with grandparents out of state. Once it returns, duties might include occasional pet care.
The discipline structure in the home includes warnings and then taking away favorite toys/ activities as a consequence for disobeying. Children can earn back toys/activities with good behavior.
