A family in Cedar Grove/Montclair is looking for a part-time, live-out nanny for their two children, ages 3 years old and 4 years old. The typical schedule would be Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The family lives on the border of Montclair and Cedar Grove.
Additional scheduling: When possible, care would also be needed from 8 am to 5 pm on non-holiday days off from school. This would include half days and days when the school is closed. All additional care needed would be scheduled in advance. In the summer, the children may go to full or part-time summer camp depending on the nanny's availability.
Duties include:
Transporting the children to and from after-school activities. Preparing basic snacks, lunch for the next day, and warming up dinner for the children. Running errands related to the children, including picking up medication from the pharmacy, returning Amazon packages, and getting necessities from the store as needed. Making appointments for the children. Basic tidying up after the children.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this family is clean, patient, organized, and punctual. Some experience in the age range of these children is required. Must be a confident driver. Nanny should also be able to help with the kids' homework and development (fine motor skills, writing letters, etc.)
About the children:
This 4-year-old is thoughtful, sensitive, happy, and polite. During the year she goes to jiu jitsu, swimming, soccer, and dance classes. This 3-year-old is generous, strong-willed, and kind. He goes to soccer and swim classes.
About the parents:
These parents are organized, tidy, and structured. They use time-outs when necessary. The entire family is allergic to dog/cat hair and Dad is allergic to nuts. Mom is currently pregnant, but the baby is not the nanny’s responsibility.
