Family in West Orange is looking for a long-term nanny for their child who is three years old. The typical schedule in the fall will be three weekdays from 2:00 pm to 5:00/6:00 pm. However, during the summer, they would need Monday through Friday from 10:00 am/12:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Would be an additional bonus if the nanny is willing to help with the occasional date night.
Duties include:
Looking for someone wonderful who will help the child learn to regulate her emotions. Light cooking and cleaning up dishes for the child only. Vacuuming and tidying up after the child. Doing laundry for the child. Minimal pet care, including feeding and walking.

The ideal nanny for this family is a trustworthy, compassionate, and genuine person who will prioritize the child’s needs to ensure she is happy and healthy. Looking for someone who is patient, emotionally intelligent, and committed to helping the child learn to self-regulate and understand her emotions. Ideal caregiver will be comfortable helping the child navigate her feelings with patience and compassion. Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required. COVID vaccination required.
About the child:
This three-year-old is observant, curious, empathetic, intuitive, and creative. She loves art, music, yoga, sports, and more. She takes karate, dance, and gymnastics classes. She is emotionally mature and sensitive, and enjoys puzzles, gardening, and sensory play.
About the parents:
These parents are warm, inviting, and collaborative. They believe in raising the child in a way that validates their emotions while also setting clear boundaries and consequences when necessary. They utilize gentle parenting with an occasional authoritative approach (not to be confused with an authoritarian parenting style). This lovely same-sex couple is planning to expand their family in 2024.
