Morning Nanny Needed in Maplewood/Summit

 

Position:  Part-time (morning), live-out 

Location:  Maplewood, NJ or Summit, NJ

Ages:  5 years old and 3 years old

Schedule:  Monday to Friday from 6:30 am – 9:00 am

Compensation:  $25-$30 per hour

More details:

Family moving to either Maplewood or Summit is seeking a morning caregiver for their two children, ages 5 years old and 3 years old. Typical schedule will be Monday to Friday from 6:30 am – 9:00 am.

 

Optional hours: 

Nanny has the option, 2 to 3 days per week, of picking the children up from school at 5:00 pm and dropping them off at home. While this will only take 30 minutes, Nanny will be paid for an additional 2.5 hours, bringing the total for the day to 5 hours’ pay for only 3 hours of work! Duties include:

Preparing breakfast (oatmeal) for the children, getting them dressed and ready for school, transporting them to school, and tidying up after them.

 

Ideal nanny:

This family’s ideal nanny is trustworthy, patient, responsible, punctual, and good at engaging children. Nanny must be an excellent driver. Experience with potty training is preferred.

 

About the children:

This 5-year-old is intellectually curious, funny, sensitive, and likes routine and structure. He enjoys books, music, puzzles, coloring, scooting, and dancing. This 3-year-old is energetic, playful, funny, and can be stubborn. He enjoys reading, cars, playdoh, puzzles, and any activity involving running.

 

About the parents:

These parents are clean, punctual, patient, nurturing, loyal, and trustworthy. They make sure rules (and the reasons for them) are clear to the children. They demonstrate and reward positive behavior. They use redirection and distraction when the children are getting upset and time outs if the behavior persists.
