Family in Edgewater, NJ is seeking a full-time, live-out caregiver for their 3-year-old and 5-month-old children. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm, with some flexibility.
Household duties include:
Helping to establish a household schedule/routine. Setting up and supervising playdates, planning outings to the park, pool, indoor play spaces, etc. Preparing simple meals for the children. Cleaning bottles and the girls’ dishes. Organizing and tidying the children’s areas. When time permits, doing household chores such as washing, organizing, and sorting the children’s clothing, tidying, organizing the living room and kitchen, washing floors, and keeping the changing tables stocked and organized.
Ideal nanny:
This family is seeking someone who is sweet, patient, great at organizing, truly committed to their position, punctual, and interested in a long-term position. The ideal nanny is upbeat, positive, easy to get along with, invested, and looking to become part of the family. They will confidently take the initiative with the children’s activities as well as things that need to be done around the house. Looking for someone who will treat the girls as their own. Ideal nanny is a team player who will help guide these parents and make recommendations based on experience. Looking for a safety-conscious, alert caregiver who is capable of making important decisions regarding the children’s well-being. Willingness to help on weekends, on occasion, a plus.
About the children:
This 5-month-old is happy, exceptionally calm, delightful, and affectionate. She likes playing, babbling, music, story time, going on walks, and being spoken to. She never stops smiling!
This 2-year-old is a highly intelligent child who loves to learn, listen to stories, color, socialize with friends and animals, create art projects, and play outside. She enjoys listening to music and singing songs. She can be quite sensitive and needs a patient and creative caregiver who will engage her and keep her busy. She is sweet but can be stubborn!
About the family:
These parents share a laid-back, respectful, creative, and peace-loving disposition. Both are vaccinated for Covid-19. Mom likes to respect the nanny’s space and expertise and is open to advice. When it comes to discipline, they try to set boundaries by communicating expectations and setting limits in a gentle and loving way. They are, however, open to suggestions! Family has pet fish, but no pet care is required.
