More details:

Family in Livingston is seeking a live-in or live-out nanny for their 1.5-year-old child. Typical schedule is Monday to Thursday from 7/7:30 am until 6/6:30pm; Friday from 8:00 am until 4/4:30pm.

Duties include:

Preparing snacks and meals for the child only. Doing family’s laundry, doing the dishes, vacuuming, basic organization of items, and basic tidying. Family vehicle will be provided for on the job driving. No pet care except giving the dog food/water as occasionally.

Ideal nanny:

The ideal nanny is  trustworthy, nurturing, energetic, and hard-working. They are proactive. While parents will sometimes provide tasks, the ideal nanny will take initiative in doing things with the child such as scheduling activities and taking care of things around the house. They take pride in being an attentive caretaker and helpful in the home. A college degree is not necessary, but a plus.

About the child:

This 1.5 year old is sweet, musical, curious, calm, and loving. He loves outdoor play/walking to the park, music, and reading. He enjoys classes and playdates.

Family has two stepdaughters (ages 9 and 11) that reside in the home every Monday and Tuesday. They are NOT this nanny's primary responsibility. Nanny will rarely ever tend to them. The children get along all the time.

About the parents:

Both parents work full-time, hybrid jobs. Mom is warm, hardworking, talkative, friendly, kind but direct. Dad is hardworking, quiet, very organized, responsible, and punctual. He loves to cook and is a very involved parent. They are both vaccinated. They don’t allow yelling in their home.

Additional Scheduling Notes:

If live-out, overnight care is still required 1-2 nights typically every month. Huge plus if nanny is willing to travel. Family pays for all travel expenses. Family spends most of June in Long Island. Family prefers a nanny that will provide overnight travel care. Transportation to/from the summer home is paid for by family.

Benefits:

Salary plus paid vacation weeks, paid holidays off, paid sick days off, and paid personal days off. Annual bonus is provided.  If live-in, Nanny has private bedroom, bathroom, TV, and desktop computer. Family provides all food to Nanny.
