Family in Summit is looking for a nanny to take care of their 8 and 9-year-old children. Position will start as soon as possible. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm until 6:30 pm, with some flexibility (if Nanny wishes to move the hours around). Nanny will receive the same salary whether or not she works the full schedule. Nanny can earn additional pay for extra hours and/or tasks if desired.
Duties include:
Basic tidying up after the children and preparing simple meals for them. Picking them up from school and driving them to activities.
Family has a separate house cleaner, but Nanny has the option of assuming any or all of the following additional duties for additional pay: doing the family’s laundry, tending to the dishwasher, or occasionally completing household tasks or errands. The family has a dog, but no pet care is required.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this family will engage the children and encourage them to be friendly, well-rounded individuals. They will provide encouragement and help with discipline when needed. They are able to create an enjoyable, creative atmosphere after homework so that screen time can be minimized. Nanny must be vaccinated for Covid-19. A huge plus, but not required, is the ability to help with homework.
About the family:
This 9-year-old is sensitive, thoughtful, and has a sense of humor. His favorite subjects are science and writing. His other interests include video games, science experiments, and tennis. This 8-year-old’s favorite subject is… “everything!” She possesses a great combination of enthusiasm and perseverance. She loves gymnastics, singing, and performing once she feels comfortable and opens up.
Mother is kind and nurturing. Dad is pretty relaxed. Both are organized and focused on the children's education. The family has one dog who will not require care.
