Family in Florham Park is looking for a nanny primarily for their 1-year-old child. Typical schedule is Monday and Thursday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm; and Friday from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Duties include:
Caring primarily for the 22-month-old girl. Preparing snacks and dinner for her. Tidying up after her. Assisting with potty training. Mentally stimulating/teaching her new concepts. Picking the 9-year-old up from school twice per week.
Ideal nanny:
Ideal nanny is pleasant, patient, friendly, comforting, and has high moral standards. They have an established background in the care and development of young children (including those with separation anxiety). Ideal nanny can lift more than 30 lbs, take long walks, and go up and down stairs repeatedly. Looking for a caregiver who is CPR / First Aid certified and will engage the child in educational activities.
About the Family:
This almost-two-year-old is joyous, determined, inquisitive, and helpful. She loves outdoor play, music, Elmo, and singing. She is very inquisitive and eager to learn. She has some separation anxiety but bonds quickly with those who are friendly, patient, and respectful of her boundaries. Parent work from home and will cover care for their 9-year-old.
These parents are professional and personable. They use redirection and appropriate consequences to encourage positive behavior.
