Family in Montclair is looking for a full-time, live-out nanny for their 5 year old child and their newborn (due in July) to begin as soon as possible (can be flexible for the right fit). The schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm.
Duties include:
Cooking for the children only. Driving the children and doing their laundry. Grocery shopping. Basic tidying up after the children. Possibly some additional light housework until the new baby arrives.
Ideal nanny:
This family’s ideal caregiver wishes to be a long-term caregiver. They are loving and patient and able to engage an energetic 5-year-old in fun and creative ways. Must be vaccinated and boosted for Covid-29. Experience with infants is a plus. Ability to provide travel care preferred but not required.
About the child:
This precocious, loving, kind, funny, and energetic five year old is excited to become a big sister! She is learning to read right now. Her afterschool activities include gymnastics and dance. She can have some big feelings, so patience in a caregiver is key. She loves imaginary play, playing sports, dressing up, and playing games.
About the parents:
These parents are funny, sweet, and organized. There are two hypoallergenic rescue dogs in the home, but no pet care is needed. The whole family is Covid-19 vaccinated, including the child. Dad works on the 3rd floor of the home. Parents are working with a child therapist and use a “positive opposites” approach. The child earns checks that she can exchange for rewards at the end of the day.
