Family in Middletown, NJ is looking for a full-time, live-in or live-out nanny for their five-year-old and three-year-old children. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 6:00 pm. While the schedule is over 50 hours, both children are in school for 15 hours per week, allowing some free time for Nanny and/or she may run errands for the family. Beginning in fall, the oldest will be a full-time student. When parents return to work in the city, Nanny’s hours will change to Monday through Friday from 6:30 am until 6:30 pm.
Ideal nanny:
Safety is these parents’ number one concern, followed by their physical and mental stimulation. Ideal nanny is able to create a safe, loving, fun, active, creative environment for the children. Looking for someone who is active and enjoys playing outside and taking kids to the local parks. Nanny needs to be extremely reliable and COVID-19 vaccinated.
Duties include:
Nanny’s secondary priority, after providing excellent care to the children, is to do basic household chores and errands when children are in part-time preschool. Duties are flexible and based on Nannies abilities. Ideally, Nanny will help prepare basic meals for the children as well as dinner for Parents. Household chores include basic tidying of kids’ areas (including bedrooms), cleaning up from the day’s activities, doing Children's laundry, loading/unloading dishwasher, and running errands. Children’s exact preschool schedule will depend on Covid situation.
About the children:
This five-year-old is loving, smart, active, outdoorsy, and emotional. He loves playing outside, doing crafts, and doing anything with water. He also loves to help with anything the adults are doing. He is quite smart and must be kept physically and mentally stimulated. He is very good with his little sister and attends school three days a week.
This three-year old loves playing with her brother, being outside, and playing hide and seek. She is sweet, loving, funny, and beginning to test limits (typical 3-year-old). She attends school three days per week.
About the home:
These parents are caring, warm, giving, appreciative, loyal, and outdoorsy. They are a loving and generous family who is looking for someone to eventually become part of the family. They have a French bulldog and two cats. Nanny may occasionally be asked to let the dog out into the fenced-in yard. Discipline structure in the home includes redirection through activities, but occasional quiet corner time is used. Both parents are vaccinated.
