West Orange Nanny is needed for a family with two sons who are two months old and six years old. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm. This Jersey City family will be relocating to West Orange, NJ in March 2023; but is ideally looking for someone who is okay with both locations as they make the transition.
Duties include:
Caring for the infant will be Nanny’s primary focus. Tidying up after the children, including vacuuming, and doing the children’s laundry (folding the parents’ laundry is a plus, but not required). Preparing and serving meals for the children. Beginning in September 2023, picking the older child up from school, taking him to after school activities, and providing after school care. Assisting with homework. Note: this family is willing to pay extra for a caregiver who will cook for the family.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this family is reliable and has excellent character and morals that align with the family’s. They have strong experience with infants. They are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and have a good driving record and access to a car/transportation. Looking for a non-smoker who speaks fluent English. Some college is preferred. Willingness to do occasional date nights would be great!
About the children:
This baby is determined, expressive, and curious. He enjoys discovering new things. He is a relatively calm baby who does well with his routine. This six-year-old is loving, kind, energetic, obedient, and intelligent. In school, he enjoys gym class, computers, reading, math, and science. Potential after school activities beginning in September include swimming, math club, track, and/or music. He also loves soccer, space, and racing cars!
About the parents:
These parents are loving, God-fearing, structured, considerate, and balanced. It is important to them that the adults in their children’s lives and home model these traits. They use positive reinforcement and encouragement to shape behaviors, followed by withholding privileges or timeouts if necessary. The family is fully vaccinated for Covid-19.
