Family in Mountain Lakes is seeking a nanny for their newborn. Typical hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. Family has a toddler as well who is in preschool, but care will be for the newborn. Family prefers a start date in December or January, but they are willing to be flexible for the right fit.
Duties include:
Duties include driving to and from the family’s home, but there will be no driving on the job. Preparing/feeding bottles during the baby’s first year. Possibly helping to prepare solid foods in the future. Doing the baby’s laundry, cleaning his bottles, and tidying up after him. Very rarely, watching the family’s preschooler when her year-round school is closed.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this family is nurturing, loving, reliable, and self-sufficient. They have experience caring for a newborn and will stimulate the baby during his awake time with walks around the neighborhood and interactions with other nannies and children. Looking for a caregiver who will follow the parents’ instructions. Nanny must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Montessori training and college degree preferred, but not required.
About the children:
This sweet newborn is a wonderful sleeper and loves to eat! He has a big sister who is three years old and who will not be requiring care. She can be shy and sensitive but warms up after a little while.
About the parents:
They enjoy sharing parenting duties equally. They are organized and like schedules and an orderly home. They believe in setting clear rules and expectations rather than punishing or shaming. They try very hard not to raise their voices. Parents are fully vaccinated for Covid-19. Presently, both parents work full time from home. The family has one dog, but no pet care is required.
