More details:
Family in Roseland looking for a long-term nanny for their 3-year-old child and newborn twins (due in June). Ideal start date is before twins are born. Primary care will be for the twins once born; the oldest child will be in daycare. Schedule is flexible for the right nanny but would ideally be four full weekdays and one weekend day, as follows:
· 7:00 am-4:00 pm (with some flexibility) for four weekdays
· Saturdays from 3:00 pm-10:00 pm
Duties included:
Cooking for children only, cleaning children’s dishes/bottles, doing children’s laundry, and basic tidying up after children. Willingness to accompany family to pool and other outings is strongly preferred. Family hopes this relationship will grow into one of mutual respect and love and that Nanny will become part of the family. Looking for someone to be involved with family and hopefully come on family vacations and day trips.
Ideal nanny
Primarily, parents will need help establishing a good sleeping/eating/napping schedule for the twins. Looking for a team player who is highly experienced. There will be hours when Nanny is alone with the twins, but it will not be all day, everyday. No driving required on the job.
Above all, Family is looking for someone who will love and care for the children as her own, who will feel comfortable in the home, and who is friendly and honest. Nanny MUST be punctual, take initiative, and communicate effectively with parents.
About the child(ren):
Oldest is the “personality” of the family. While still in pre-K, she enjoys EVERYTHING. She is very lively, friendly, loving, outgoing, energetic, and engaging. Interests include outdoor play, baking. playing pretend, practicing writing, art, and ballet.
About the parents:
They are responsible, fun-loving, and place a very high value on treating others with respect and dignity. Parents utilize positive reinforcement such as prizes for good behavior rather than punishing negative behaviors (will occasionally use time outs or take something away).
Benefits:
Salaried position with paid vacation days, sick days, time off, and holidays. No driving required. Flexible payment arrangement. Option to live in or live out. Prefer someone who is being reasonably careful during the pandemic but not required to be strict with social distancing.
