Family in Jersey City is looking for a full-time, live-out nanny for their 7-month-old and 3-year- old children. Typical schedule for nanny is Mondays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesdays from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm, Wednesdays from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm, Thursdays from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Fridays from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Approximately once every six weeks, the schedule will be Monday to Friday from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm, when parents have extended work hours.
Duties will include:
… basic meal prep for the children, tidying up after the children, and doing children’s laundry. Son will occasionally need to be walked home from local school.
Ideal nanny:
Ideal nanny is caring and trustworthy with a lot of love to give to the children. She can be trusted to engage the children (screen time is avoided) and is very safety-conscious. She is able to give attention to toddler and baby at the same time and also to follow the established nap schedule. Ideal nanny will follow COVID-19 precautions.
About the children:
The baby is a cheerful, happy baby who only cries when she is hungry or tired. The three-year-old loves music. He is funny, bright, musical, caring, and sensitive. He loves to ride his scooter and balance bike and play soccer. He also enjoys playing with his magnet tiles, doing puzzles, and reading. He loves interacting with his sister but needs reminders to be gentle with her. The children get along very well.
About the Home:
This is a Kosher household with a mostly fish and vegetarian diet. Parents are fairly laid back. They love music and reading to their children. They are both busy physicians who have both been vaccinated for COVID-19 and occasionally will be doing virtual doctor visits from home.
Discipline structure:
...includes speaking gently to the child when he has done something wrong, sometimes after he has had quiet time to calm down. He is encouraged to pick up his toys after playing with them.
Benefits:
High salary plus overtime pay. Willing to pay Nanny on the books. In addition, Nanny will receive paid vacation days, sick days, and major holidays. No pets in home and no driving required. Family will help to secure parking if Nanny drives to work.
