Your application has been completed!
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Nanny Smith nanny. Someone from our office will contact you to review your application (due to COVID, our response time may be slower than normal).
Please be aware that our interviews during July will be conducted via video conference. In- person interviews may not start until August or later and we will provide notification of this change. Please review our interview protocol by clicking this link . To download the Applicant Release Forms, which will be required prior to interview and can be emailed to info@nannysmith.com , please click here .
Please note: The Nanny Smith charges no placement fees and will take nothing from your paycheck!
To all current and future applicants to The Nanny Smith:
Here at The Nanny Smith Agency, we value our nannies’ lives as well as those of our families. As we take steps to reopen slowly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, please rest assured that we are making provisions on your behalf to keep you safe.
If you've already been interviewed by The Nanny Smith, you’re a step ahead of many other candidates. If this is your first experience with The Nanny Smith, please be aware of the following:
Your initial interview with The Nanny Smith Agency is no longer required to be in person. Within the first two months of reopening, you will have the choice of doing a Skype interview or an in-person meeting. In-person meetings take place on Thursdays beginning Thursday, June 25, 2020.
Please note: there might be limited in-person interview slots available, as we will need time in between each interview to clean the room. During your in-person meeting, please be sure to wear your mask and to take any other protective measures that you feel comfortable with. You may also print any required documents prior to the meeting and bring your own pen to limit cross-contamination. Please note that Skype interviews follow specific protocol as well, and these guidelines are listed here (click this link to review).
Your initial interview as well as all initial meetings with a potential family will be done via video conference (FaceTime, What's App, Skype, Loom, etc.) Only when the family is taking the final steps towards hiring you are they allowed to invite you to an in-person interview. If at any time you do not feel comfortable attending an in-person interview, please communicate this to the agency. The current contract with the family states that the agency has the right and holds the privilege of changing any policies, including those regarding start dates and in-person interviews; we will gladly make accommodations for your comfort and safety. Once you secure an in-person interview with the family, additional safety protocols will be shared with you.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Nanny Smith is strongly encouraging and implementing a Recovery Pay Addendum that will provide for you in the event of another state of emergency.
We understand the pains and struggles that nannies go through when selecting a new family to work with. The Nanny workforce is unlike any other; our choices are not just business decisions but personal ones as well.
Wishing you health and safety from The Nanny Smith
