Details:
Family in Warren is looking for a long-term, full-time, live-in nanny / household manager for their two children, ages 9 and 5 years old. The schedule is flexible for the right candidate. The salary will be high and will be based on the commitment from the nanny.
Duties:
Nanny will be responsible for driving kids to activities, food shopping, doing whole family’s laundry, cooking for family, and basic tidying up after children. Other duties are preparing children for school, meeting the school bus, and bathing younger child (older child is self-sufficient). Only light tidying is required, as heavy cleaning done by cleaning service.
Ideal Nanny:
Ideal nanny has her own vehicle, but this is not required. She is a warm person who can help during this difficult time of transition. She is able to run the household and be responsible. Additional plus is the ability to help with homework. She can take control of implementing structure in the home and will be fully supported by adults in the family.
About the children:
Both children will attend full day school in the fall from 8:30/9 am to 3:00 pm. The oldest is 9 years old and is intelligent, funny, active, friendly, and needs attention. She enjoys cheerleading, dance, gymnastics, soccer, and softball. She loves math and is not that interested in reading.
The youngest is 4 years old and is happy, inquisitive, loving, active, and can amuse himself. He has recently been diagnosed with mild autism for which he is receiving therapy. He does wake up in the middle of the night from time to time. Nanny will be in charge of tending to him during the night and assisting with potty training.
About the home:
Adults in the home consist of a loving father and a hands-on grandmother who lives nearby. The mother recently passed away. Dad is trying to set up a loving and structured home.
Benefits:
High paying salaried position (on the books) plus overtime pay. Paid vacation days, paid sick days, and paid holidays are included. Nanny will have separate living quarters. Family is willing to provide vehicle and/or gas reimbursement. Open to additional benefits.
